Dr. Hothefa Shaker received his Ph.D. in Computer and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia in 2012.

He received his M.Sc. degree in Systems and Networking at College of Information Technology, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in 2009 and. He obtained his post-doctorate fellowship at National University of Malaysia (UKM).

He was working as a faculty member in the field of computing and technology for 15 years in different countries and universities. He held several academic management positions, including Head of computer engineering at KUST University, Iraq. Also, Director of graduate studies in MCBS, Oman. He has received more than 7 ERGS, FRGS, and industries projects.

He has a good record of publications under the Scopus and ISI index. Currently, He is acting associate dean for graduate studies and Research, modern college of business and science MCBS, Muscat, Oman.
